The Horizon Fitness LS780T treadmill is made for running because of its high speed and larger surface area. This treadmill has a maximum speed of 10 miles/hour which equates to about a 6 minute pace per mile, a speed fast enough for most runners. The larger surface area accommodates the longer strides you take while running versus walking. However, with a stride surface area of 1,000 sq in, this treadmill is smaller when compared with other treadmills made for running - this treadmill could feel a bit cramped if you have a large stride.
The incline on the LS780T allows you to mimic hills. The treadmill can increase its slant up to 10%, which is lower than the average treadmill, but will still allow you to feel the burn of a great hill workout.
